Photos you upload

When you identify a specimen, your photo is sent to our AI processing provider solely to generate an identification, and the result is returned to you. We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to build a public profile of you. We aim to retain uploads no longer than needed to provide and improve the service.

Cookies and usage data

We use a small cookie to count your free daily identifications, and we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal data.

Payments

If you purchase a paid plan, payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store your full card details on our servers.

Your choices

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. To ask about the data associated with you, contact us at team@anyrockidentifier.com.

Data deletion requests

Photos you submit are processed to produce your identification and are not kept on our servers. In the mobile app, your identification history is stored only on your device — deleting a find in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes it. To request deletion of any other data associated with you (such as usage counters tied to your device or account), email team@anyrockidentifier.com from the relevant account and we'll action it.
